A smooth and balanced golf swing begins with a good stretching routine. Try these basic techniques before you start your round or practice session:

1. Shoulder Rolls: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and roll your shoulders backward in a circular motion for 10-15 seconds. Repeat in the opposite direction.
2. Upper Body Twist: Stand with your feet hip-width apart and extend your arms out to the sides. Twist your upper body to the right, bringing your left hand across your body. Hold for 10-15 seconds and repeat on the opposite side.
3. Standing Side Bend: Stand with your feet hip-width apart and place your left hand on your left hip. Extend your right arm overhead and gently bend your body to the left side. Hold for 10-15 seconds and repeat on the opposite side.
4. Hamstring Stretch: Stand straight with your feet hip-width apart and extend your right leg forward. Keep your back straight and slowly hinge forward from your hips, reaching towards your toes. Hold for 10-15 seconds and switch to the other leg.
5. Hip Rotation Stretch: Lie on your back with your knees bent. Place your right ankle on top of your left knee and gently press your right knee away from your body. Hold for 10-15 seconds and switch to the other side.
6. Wrist Flexibility: Extend your right arm forward with the palm facing down. Use your left hand to gently pull back on your fingers, stretching your wrist. Hold for 10-15 seconds and switch to the other side.
Remember to perform each stretch slowly and smoothly, without bouncing or jerking movements. Incorporating this stretching routine into your regular golf practice can help improve your flexibility and range of motion, which can contribute to a better golf swing.
